Xiaomi India has introduced the Sign Language support feature, enhancing its customer care services. The aim is to bridge the communication gap between the brand and the hearing and speech-impaired users. Take a look at the details.
Xiaomi’s Sign Language Support
The brand has invested in creating a dedicated team of trained sign language interpreters to provide efficient one-on-one support. The interaction can happen in both Hindi and English.
Interested customers who wish to access Sign Language support can request the service by contacting customer care via WhatsApp. The service is available Monday to Sunday from 9 am to 6 pm. Once contacted, they will be asked to choose their preferred time slot for virtual consultation, and a video link will be shared for the session.
Xiaomi says, “This human-centred approach empowers users to interact effectively with Xiaomi’s products and services, regardless of their communication abilities.”
The interpreters who are set to the impaired customers will be able to assist them with enquiries, order-related questions, and technical support. Xiaomi adds that it is one step closer to making inclusive technology to enhance human connection and increase opportunity and access for all.
