Spotify has dropped its much-anticipated annual Wrapped feature for 2024, the yearly retrospective from Spotify that celebrates what you listened to on Spotify. This year, Spotify has introduced new features in Wrapped – Your Music Evolution 2024, which showcases how your music taste has changed over the year, and Your Wrapped AI Podcast, where two AI hosts talk about what you listened to in the past year.

Beyond these headline features, Spotify Wrapped continues to provide users with a comprehensive look back at their music. Let’s discuss everything you need to know about Spotify Wrapped 2024.

Spotify Wrapped 2024

Spotify Wrapped is an annual event started by Spotify in 2016. This was initially a viral marketing campaign that showcased a user’s activity on the platform over the past year. It started as a list of the top 5 tracks and artists a user listened to, but over the years, Spotify has enhanced this further and people arguably awaited it.

This year, Spotify has added new features to this year's Wrapped. Here's the complete list:

• Your Wrapped: An Instagram story-like slideshow showing insights into your listening habits.
• Your Top Songs 2024: A Spotify playlist for your account that contains the 100 most-played tracks sorted according to listening hours.
• Your Music Evolution 2024: A curated playlist for your account that shows how your music listening habits have changed. This playlist will receive up to three musical phases, displayed with descriptors, genres, and artists.
• Your Artist Clips: This tab opens with clips from your favourite artists, talking about their favourite tracks and albums of the year.
• 2024 in Music: This one features a curated collection of the top artists and tracks from 2024 from different languages and genres.
• 2024 in Podcasts: The showcase of the top podcasts of the year on Spotify.
• Your Wrapped AI Podcast: An AI podcast where AI hosts discuss your top artists and tracks in a podcast format.
• Top Artists of 2024 Global: A curated playlist containing the most streamed artists of 2024 on Spotify.
• Top Tracks of 2024 Global: A curated playlist of the most streamed songs of 2024 on Spotify.

There are more playlist collections in the Wrapped tab in Spotify and scrolling down will show different playlists like Top Tracks 2024 India, Top Artists 2024 India, Top Hindi Tracks of 2024, Top Hindi Artists of 2024, Best of Bollywood Dance Music 2024, Best of Tamil Romance in 2024, and much more. Many of these playlists are curated by Spotify for all users, while some are curated for your profile based on listening history.

NOTE: Spotify also released a Your Wrapped AI Podcast but it wasn't showing up on my Wrapped tab, and when I tried to access it, it showed a "We don't have an AI podcast for you" error. 

Your Wrapped 

Your Wrapped in Spotify is an Instagram Story-like slideshow that shows stats based on your listening history like:

1. Total hours of music listened to in the past year.
2. Number of total songs played in the past year.
3. The song that was played the most.
4. A top songs leaderboard for the past year.
5. Top songs of different seasons of the past year (how the listening history has changed).
6. Your top artist of the year, and a leaderboard of top artists.

How to Find Your Spotify Wrapped?

Here’s how you can find the Spotify Wrapped for your account:

1. Open Spotify on your phone.Image may be NSFW.

2. Click the “Your 2024 Wrapped is here” banner.
3. Your Wrapped will be shown in a format of stories.
4. Wrapped can also be accessed via the Wrapped tab in the Spotify app.Image may be NSFW.

5. The last slide of the Wrapped shows the top artists and top songs and can be shared to WhatsApp, Instagram, and Facebook stories.

NOTE: The Spotify app on your phone (Android or iOS) should be updated to the latest version for 2024 Wrapped to show up on the app.

• Top Tamil Track of 2024 – “Katchi Sera” by Sai Abhyankkar
• Top Malayalam Track of 2024 – “Illuminati” by Sushin Shyam, Dabzee (from Aavesham)
