Google has announced the dates for its 2025 I/O event, which will occur from May 20 to May 21. The big event may comprise various interesting announcements around Android 16 and some new product launches.

The 18th edition of Google’s I/O will occur at Shoreline Amphitheatre in Mountain View, California. You can register here to watch the event live on your preferred device. It will commence on May 20 at 10 am Pacific time. Google enthusiasts in India can tune in live at 11:30 pm.
The Google I/O event was first known as “Google Developer” Day and was hosted at the San Jose Convention Center in California. Since 2016, it has been held at Shoreline Amphitheatre.
Things to be Expected in Google’s I/O Event
The event will primarily witness more details about Android 16 and even a WearOS 6 announcement. The company will announce new features and reveal the list of compatible devices for these latest updates. For those who don’t know, Android 16 is currently in its first beta stage. Here are some of the other expected announcements:
- In 2024, Google lifted the wrap off on interesting AI-powered features like Veo, ImageFX and many more. So, this trend is expected to repeat on May 20 and May 21.
