Vodafone Idea (Vi) has collaborated with Netflix to offer free access to the streaming platform via its new prepaid plans. The telecom operator will also introduce a postpaid plan with free access to Netflix. Here are the details.
New Vi Netflix Prepaid Plans: Price, Validity, and More
Vi’s new prepaid plans include Netflix’s Basic plan, which costs Rs 199 monthly. The plans provide HD quality access to all Netflix content (including originals). This plan allows users to watch and download content on one device simultaneously. It is compatible with a TV, computer, mobile phone, and tablet.
The first prepaid plan is priced at Rs 998 and offers 1.5GB of daily data, 100 SMS a day, and unlimited voice calls for 70 days. Subscribers in Mumbai and Gujarat will have to pay Rs 1,099, though.
The second plan costs Rs 1,399 and offers 2.5GB of data/day, 100 SMS daily, and unlimited calling for 84 days. Both plans offer Netflix Basic on TV and mobile only.
Vi claims its Rs 998 plan is the only one with free Netflix under Rs 1,000. Jio has two Netflix prepaid plans, costing Rs 1,099 and Rs 1,499, with a validity of 84 days. Airtel has a single Rs 1,499 plan with Netflix Basic support, valid for 84 days.

Vi’s new Rs 998 and Rs 1,399 prepaid plans will include ‘Hero’ benefits like Data Delight, Night Binge, and Weekend Data Rollover. There’s no word on when Vi will launch its postpaid plans with free Netflix, but this should happen soon, and we will keep you posted.
