The tech giant has introduced several advancements to its macOS with the latest updates. Here’s everything you need to know about:
iPhone Mirroring
- Users can now view and control their iPhones directly from their Macs.
- The iPhone screen, including icons, Home Screen, and apps, can be mirrored on the Mac.
- Apps can be opened directly from the Mac, with iPhone audio routed through the Mac.
- The iPhone can remain locked while controlled by the Mac, ensuring privacy.
- Even iPhone notifications now appear on the Mac, integrated alongside Mac notifications.
Automatic Window Sizing
- macOS 15 introduces automatic window sizing, which tiles windows to fill the screen and maximise screen real estate.
New Passwords App
- A new dedicated Passwords app is now available for managing Wi-Fi passwords, app and website passwords, and verification codes.
- It can sync passwords across all devices and use autofill to populate credentials within the Passwords app.
- The app is also accessible on Windows via the iCloud for Windows app, providing cross-platform password management.
Safari Enhancements
- The company is bringing its AI capabilities to Safari, where the Highlights feature uses machine learning to detect and summarise interesting information on web pages.
- Reader mode now includes summaries and tables of contents, likely generated with machine learning.
- Viewer mode offers complete playback control for on-page video content and supports Picture in Picture.
Gaming Improvements

macOS 15 Sequoia Availability
The macOS Sequoia developer beta is already available through the Apple Developer Program, while the public beta will be available through the Apple Beta Software Program next month. Finally, the official release will take place this fall and will be available for free.
