Adobe has launched its new Firefly Video Model, a tool designed for AI-driven video creation. Announced at the Adobe MAX conference, this model allows users to generate videos from text and images, making video production more accessible and efficient for creators. Here's everything you need to know about.
Adobe Firefly Video Model: Key Features
- Generative Extend Tool: Integrated into Premiere Pro, this feature allows users to extend video clips by up to two seconds, smoothing transitions and enhancing footage without the need for reshoots. It also extends background audio but does not support spoken dialogue or music.
- Text-to-Video and Image-to-Video Capabilities: Available through the Firefly web app, these tools enable users to create videos from text descriptions or still images. The text-to-video function can mimic various styles, while the image-to-video feature allows for dynamic clips that bring still images to life.
The Firefly Video Model is currently in limited public beta, allowing Adobe to gather feedback from a select group of creative professionals. The model will continue to evolve based on user input, with Adobe planning to introduce additional features and enhancements. During this beta phase, users can access the tools for free while Adobe finalizes pricing and availability details for broader releases.
Adobe also showcased its Project Concept, a new capability designed for multiplayer, collaborative creative concept development. It will allow creative professionals to remix images in real-time, enabling them to work together on a single canvas. Integrating with Adobe Creative Cloud, Project Concept enhances workflows across applications like Photoshop and Illustrator, making brainstorming and developing concepts easier for teams.
