BSNL’s National Wi-Fi Roaming Service is now available for the state-run telecom operator’s FTTH (fiber-to-the-home) users. This new service allows BSNL fiber connection users to access the telco’s high-speed FTTH connections nationwide. Here are the details.
BSNL National Wi-Fi Roaming Service Now Live in India
Presently, BSNL FTTH users can access internet connectivity within the range of their routers. The national Wi-Fi roaming service allows users to connect to the BSNL FTTH network anywhere in the country through their existing subscriptions. This move from BSNL is intended to provide a high-speed internet connection to its users on the go since the company is the only one that has yet to complete the 4G rollout in India.
BSNL says the National Wi-Fi roaming service is straightforward and will offer high-speed internet connectivity to BSNL users no matter where they are. Even if users are in a rural area and a BSNL Wi-FI network is present, they can access high-speed internet through that.
BSNL’s new service is an attempt to attract new users and revamp its presence in the country. Telcos like Airtel and Jio are unlikely to offer such a service because of their robust 5G network, which they would like their users to use when not at home.
