Samsung has introduced the beta programme for its latest operating system, One UI 7. The latest update focuses on artificial intelligence (AI) and enhanced personalisation. Here’s the complete scoop.
One UI 7.0: Eligible Devices and Rollout
The One UI 7.0 beta update will first be available to flagship devices like the Galaxy S24 series in select markets, including India, Germany, Korea, Poland, the UK, and the US.
The stable version of One UI 7 will debut with Galaxy S25 series devices in early 2025. The update will roll out to other models eventually. Unfortunately, the company has not yet revealed any specific timeline for other Galaxy devices. However, we expect the company to shed more light on its latest OS at the upcoming event. You can still check out the expected list of eligible devices that will get Android 15-based One UI 7.0 update.
Note: All the Galaxy S24 series users interested in early access can register for the beta programme via the Samsung Members app.
One UI 7 Beta: AI Enhancements
One UI 7 introduces new AI-powered tools designed to improve usability. The key features include:
- Advanced Writing Assistance: Users can now access tools for summarising content, checking grammar, and formatting notes directly within the system, removing the need to switch between applications.
- Call Transcripts: Calls can be automatically transcribed in up to 20 languages, streamlining multi-tasking and improving accessibility.
One UI 7 Beta: Personalised Design and Improved Controls
One UI 7.0 includes a revamped interface, which focuses on simplicity and personalisation. Here are all the important updates:
- Now Bar: A new lock screen feature offering quick access to tools like Interpreter, Music, and Stopwatch without unlocking the device.
- Redesigned Widgets and Home Screen: Simplified layouts to provide more intuitive control and customisation options.
- Enhanced Camera Experience: Updated Pro modes now feature streamlined manual settings and a new zoom control for smoother transitions.
That’s all the information available about One UI 7 for now. This is still a beta update, so it may contain some bugs and glitches. The official launch isn’t far off though and more details are expected at Samsung’s next event, where the new Galaxy S25 series devices will also be unveiled. Stay tuned for further updates.
