Amazon has decided to jump onto the GenAI bandwagon with its next-gen Alexa+. The AI assistant, which has made its way to the US, is now smarter and more conversational and can do much more than before, like finding anything you are looking for with its agentic capabilities and becoming more personalised for you, among other things. Alexa+: Price and Availability
Alexa+ is priced at $19.99 (approximately Rs 1,742) a month but will be free for Amazon Prime members.
It will be available in the US in the next few weeks (early access) and eventually reach more people in the coming months. The early access period will include the Amazon Echo Show 8, 10, 15, and 21 devices.
There’s no word on its availability in India, but it should reach the country soon.

Alexa+ uses advanced LLMs and has a vast database to perform several tasks at hand. It is made to learn and become better. Here’s how it can help you.

- Create content: Alexa+ can also use documents and briefs (via a desktop browser, the mobile app, or even email) provided by you to turn them into the desired content. It can summarise content, add important information to your calendar, and do so much more.
The new Alexa will be available anytime and anywhere. You can access it via an Android or iOS app and even a new browser-based experience on Alexa.com. It gives utmost importance to user privacy and security. Amazon says it has “centralized important information such as your interactions with Alexa+ and various settings into the Alexa Privacy dashboard.”
