Intel has announced its latest PC-to-PC transfer solution, the ‘Thunderbolt Share'. It is currently offered with select PCs and accessories with Thunderbolt 4 or 5 ports. The software can provide screen-sharing and fast PC-to-PC file transfers for more flexible and productive workflows.
According to the company, the latest Thunderbolt Share is powered by the unique Thunderbolt networking capability. It leverages the high-speed Thunderbolt connection to create a smooth experience for users with multiple computers.
What Thunderbolt Share Offers
Thunderbolt Share is compatible with Thunderbolt 4 or Thunderbolt 5 PCs running on the Windows operating system, and it provides:
- Smooth Uncompressed Screen-Sharing: It offers smooth, uncompressed screen sharing with ultra-responsive mouse and keyboard control between PCs.
- Fast File Transfers: The Thunderbolt Share makes transferring files between PCs much easier. It allows users to drag and drop files, which can be extremely useful while migrating from an old PC to a newer one.
- Easy Collaboration: Sharing large files is always an issue. However, the new Thunderbolt Share allows users to share large files effortlessly between users.
- Versatile Connectivity: It also allows you to connect PCs directly or use a Thunderbolt accessory with multiple ports, such as a Thunderbolt dock or monitor.
- Private and Secure: The Thunderbolt Share also ensures the connection is secure and does not interfere with Wi-Fi, Ethernet, or cloud network performance.
When Will it Be Available?
It will be available on select PCs and accessories from the second half of 2024. Lenovo, Acer, MSI, Razer, Kensington, Belkin, Promise, Plugable, OWC, and others are among the first adopters.
