Google recently launched a Gmail feature for its Gemini Advanced subscribers called Gmail Q&A. While it was only launched for Web users, the company has now started rolling out this feature for Android devices and plans to introduce it to iOS users too. Here’s everything you need to know about.
Google’s New Gmail Q&A Feature
This new Q&A feature is nothing but a kind of personal assistant for Gmail. It can read your entire inbox and help you with any queries you have about the emails that you have got.
According to Google, users can ask Gemini to summarise the emails by giving prompts like “Catch me up on the emails about quarterly planning.” It also allows you to ask specific questions like “What was the PO number for my agency?” or “How much did the company spend on the last marketing event?” or “Catch me up on the emails about quarterly planning.”
It’s important to note that this feature won’t replace the current Search function we’re all familiar with. Instead, a new Gemini icon will appear beside the search, and the regular search will continue to function as usual.
What About the Availability?
The tech giant has started rolling out this update from August 29. However, the company has stated that it will take up to 15 days until it is available to everyone. Besides, it’s available for Google Workspace customers who have opted for Gemini Business, Enterprise, Education, Education Premium, or Google One AI Premium subscription.
